Description
Ortho GroundClear Weed & Grass Killer Refill has been specifically formulated to kill all types of weeds that are green and growing. Application is easy--just attach a Comfort Wand applicator to the refill bottle, and then spray. Use it to kill weeds on hardscapes, in landscape beds, and around vegetable gardens (apply directly to weeds). The fast-acting spray produces visible results in just 15 minutes. Ortho GroundClear Weed and Grass Killer is OMRI listed.
Step by Step Instructions
How to Use
This Ortho® refill can be used with a Comfort Wand from an Ortho® GroundClear® Weed & Grass Killer ready-to-use bottle.
- First, remove the hose connector from the original bottle of Ortho® GroundClear® Weed & Grass Killer.
- Next, remove the side holster from the original bottle by pulling on the tab at the bottom of the holster and sliding the holster up. Now, attach the holster to the refill bottle by sliding it down onto the knob. Finally, insert the hose connector into the spout on the cap.
Turn the sprayer nozzle on the bottle of grass killer to the desired spray-pattern setting.
Slide the trigger switch to "Unlock" and press the trigger to spray the weed and grass killer in the desired area.
Apply the weed killer to dry weed surfaces only.
Use cardboard or a plastic shield to block the grass killer spray from contacting desirable plants nearby.
Apply until weeds are completely covered.
Turn the nozzle to the "Off" position.
Slide the trigger switch to "Lock."
Fold the wand closed and place into the holster.

- Do not apply to plants that you like as they will die.
- Not recommended for spot weed control in lawns since this product kills lawn grasses.

When to Apply
- For best results, apply on a warm, sunny day when the winds are calm. Apply at any time of the year when weeds are actively growing.
- Ortho® GroundClear® Weed & Grass Killer will be rainproof in 2 hours upon drying.
How Often to Apply
- For best results, re-apply every 2 to 3 weeks.
- Difficult to control weeds, such as perennial or more established weeds, may require several applications for complete control.
Special Instructions
- Do not allow treated weeds to come into contact with desirable plants until the spray has dried.
Watering Tips
- Do not water for two hours after application.
Mixing Directions
- No mixing or agitation is required.
