About This Product
Your yard isn't a museum piece. It’s the stage for epic cannonballs, questionable croquet shots, and all-day cookouts. You need grass that can keep up. That's where we come in. Our founder, O.M. Scott, has been in the grass game since, well, pretty much the beginning. Following his innovative spirit, we believe yards ain't hard, and with our Bermudagrass Grass Seed, they don't have to be. We've created a powerhouse 3-in-1 mix that takes the guesswork out of getting a green space that’s ready for anything. This isn't just any seed. We hand-selected the toughest Bermudagrass varieties that laugh in the face of scorching heat and drought. Then we mixed in our natural Grass Food and a soil improver to give those seeds everything they need to grow into a resilient and straight-up awesome lawn. And because we're all about the good stuff, our formula is safe for your kids and pets to run on right after you spread it. Plus, the bag is 100% recyclable. So go ahead. Go hard on your yard.

Where & When to Use
Where to Use: Use it on your bermudagrass lawn, especially in those spots that get baked by the sun all day long.
How to Use: This mix is your go-to for starting a new lawn from scratch or for overseeding your current lawn to make it thicker and tougher.
When to Use: Plant this seed in late spring or early summer when it’s consistently warm, with daily temperatures between 70°F and 90°F. Bermudagrass loves the heat.
How Often to Use: For a green space that's always ready for action, we recommend overseeding once a year.
How To Use
For Planting a New Lawn:
- GET READY: Loosen the top 2 inches of soil to create a welcoming bed for your new seed.
- APPLY: Set your spreader to the new lawn rate. Apply the seed mix evenly across the prepared soil.
- RAKE (GENTLY): Lightly rake to mix the seed into the top layer of soil. Just enough so it's making good contact.
- WATER: This part's crucial. Water every day (or as needed) for the first 3 weeks to keep the soil surface consistently moist while the seeds get to work.
For Overseeding Your Existing Lawn:
- GET READY: Mow your grass on a low setting. Rake the area to loosen up the soil and clear out any dead grass or debris. This helps the new seeds get nice and cozy with the soil.
- APPLY: Grab your spreader and set it to the overseeding rate. Walk your lawn and apply the seed mix evenly.
- RAKE (GENTLY): Lightly rake the seed into the soil. You're just aiming for good seed-to-soil contact, not burying it alive.
- WATER: Keep the soil surface consistently moist by watering daily (or as needed) for the first 3 weeks. Think damp, not drenched.

Watering Tips
For the first three weeks, think of yourself as the lawn’s personal hydration coach. A light watering once or twice a day is way better than one deep soak. The goal is to keep the top layer of soil damp so the new seeds can get to work. Once the grass is established, you can switch to a less frequent, deeper watering schedule.
Product Tips
- Patience is a Virtue: You should start to see some action in about 7 to 14 days, but it takes time to build an awesome lawn.
- The First Haircut: Don't mow until the new grass is at least 2 inches tall. When you do, only trim the top third of the grass blades to keep it healthy and strong.
Product Safety
- Ready for Play: Go ahead, let the whole crew run wild. This product is safe for use around people and pets, so you can get right back to the good times immediately after application. Just use as directed. That means don't eat it, drink it, rub it in your eyes...you get the point.
- Gear Up: Even though we use only the good stuff, it's always smart to use common sense. We recommend wearing gloves and closed-toe shoes. Save the flip-flops for when you're admiring your handiwork.
- Wash Up: Make sure to wash your hands after you're done. It's a good rule of thumb for any yard work.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I store leftover product?
Find a cool, dry spot that's out of direct sunlight. Fold or roll the top of the bag down to keep it sealed up tight, and it'll be ready for your next project.
My soil is basically hard clay. Will this even work?
You came to the right place. Our 3-in-1 mix includes a soil improver specifically to help with tough conditions like heavy or compacted clay, making it easier for your new grass to take root.
When is the best time to plant this? My summers are brutal.
This grass loves the heat. For the best results, plant it in late spring or early summer when daily temps are consistently between 70°F and 90°F. This gives the seed the warm soil it needs to get growing.
