Where to Use: Indoor seed starting trays and containers for cuttings

Plant Types: Vegetable, flower, and herb seeds, as well as leaf, stem, and root cuttings

How Often to Use: Use this mix to start your seeds. Once your seedlings have their first set of true leaves, it's time to transplant them.

For Seed Starting:

1. Select Container: Select a shallow container or tray with a drain hole.
2. Fill: Fill the container with Miracle-Gro Indoor Potting Mix for Seed Starting.
3. Plant: Plant your seeds according to the package directions.
4. Water: Water lightly and let the excess drain.
5. Care: Keep the mix moist and place your container out of direct sunlight.

For Established Cuttings:

1. Select & Fill: Select a container with a drain hole and fill it with mix.
2. Water: Water the mix thoroughly.
3. Propagate: Make a small hole and insert your cutting. 4. Press: Press the mix lightly around the stem to secure it. 5. Care: Keep the mix moist and place your container out of direct sunlight.

Your new seeds and cuttings are delicate! This mix is designed to hold moisture, but you'll need to check it often. Keep the mix consistently moist but not soggy. A spray bottle can be a great tool for gentle watering.

• When to Transplant: Once your seedlings grow their first set of "true leaves" (the second set of leaves that appear), it's time to move them to a larger pot! We recommend transplanting them into a quality mix like Miracle-Gro Indoor Potting Mix for All Plants.
• Cutting Propagation: When propagating stem and leaf cuttings, a rooting hormone or gel, like Miracle-Gro Plant Care Root Starter Gel, can help with propagation success! Just dip your cutting in gel before placing it in the soil.
