DESCRIPTION
Locally made from regionally-based forest products, Scotts® Nature Scapes® Color Enhanced Mulch Sierra Red brings vibrant, year-long color to your landscape. The ability to enjoy the bright colors all year comes from the Color Guard® technology which enables the mulch to retain its vibrant hues. An additional benefit is that just a three-inch layer of Scotts mulch naturally prevents weeds by leaving them no room to grow and blocking their access to sunlight. Place mulch around trees, shrubs, flowers, or vegetables. In addition to enhancing the natural beauty of your plants, the mulch helps to keep them hydrated by conserving the moisture in the soil. This mulch doesn't just look good, it is certified under Mulch & Soil Council for quality assurance and industry standards. Each bag contains only natural forest products, no construction debris or pallet wood is ever added. And every bag is manufactured an average of 150 miles from the store where it is sold. Keep mulch dry for 24 hours after application to experience the longest color and then, every 3-4 months, rake the top 1" of mulch to optimize its coloration.

Works as expected
I've read lots about people saying that their mulch faded, we get a full year in Florida sun with this mulch. As for comments stating that the bags should be marked about rain or watering within the first 24/48 hours after application, it is! The only thing not listed is pet safety, wish it was, had to look it up.

Help
Not a review but a
Question
I have always used Scott’s
Products for the quality, recently I decided to plant a small plot with peaches and plums , get home with Scott’s natural scapes dark brown mulch and now some people are telling me
It will kill my fruit trees or anything I put it around because it has some kind of chemical
Not safe for any of my landscape is this true ?
Always just used the regular mulch and wanted
To give it some
Color.

Great Mulch!
Can't understand all the bad reviews. This is my favorite mulch. The color lasts longer on this brand than other brands I have used. They look gray and Scotts is black. The size is perfect and I didn't notice any debris. I always watch for it to go on sale. I think it is great mulch.

Great product
Purchased it at Lowe’s and am perfectly happy with it. Just wish it was fire retardant. I live in the mountains and try to keep my property fire safe. I know that fire departments do not recommend use of this product but it looks great and keeps the weeds and dust down. Wonder if there is anything that I can do to make it fire retardant

Help
I have no complaints. My bf was mulching the flower beds this past weekend and I noticed the writing in the bags. 42.5 L (1.5 ft3 / pi3) and I haven’t been able to figure out what this really means. Ok. So 42.5 L is equal to 1.5 cubic feet which I am all in agreement with; but, what does / pi3 mean? Divided to cubic pi? Like what, I haven’t been able to sleep since. Could someone clarify for me please?

The best Red Mulch ever...
Over the years I bought many local brands of mulch...onlu to have to redress or scoop it up and discard it the next Spring. last year I bought Scotts Nature Scapes Enhanced Red Mulch Starting my Spring cleanup of my yard, I found that a little easy raking over of the Scotts mulch, that it looked brand new as if it just came out of bag! It held up fantastically...and I will buy more this Spring to address other areas of my yard. Thank you Scotts...your products are AMAZING!
