Where Not to Use: For outdoor use only. Do not use this product on firewood. Do not apply in or on electrical equipment.

When to Use: Apply when bugs first appear.

How Often to Use: For lawns, wait 4 to 6 weeks between applications. For other ornamentals, wait 7 to 14 days between applications. For home perimeters, reapply every 14 days as needed. For edible plants, re-apply as necessary to maintain control, waiting at least 7 days between each application.

How to Apply Using a Tank Sprayer:

  1. Prep: Shake bottle well before opening.
  2. Measure: In a clean tank sprayer, add 1.5 fl. oz. of concentrate for every 1 gallon of water (0.75-1.5 fl. oz. if treating lawn).
  3. Mix: Close the sprayer, shake it well to mix, and pressurize the sprayer according to its instructions.
  4. Apply: For lawns, spray evenly over the entire lawn. For ornamentals, roses, trees, and listed edible plants, thoroughly cover the upper and lower leaf surfaces, stems, and branches. To treat your home's foundation, spray a 2 ft. band of soil around the house and 2 ft. up the foundation of the house.

How to Apply Using the Ortho Dial N' Spray:Prep:

  1. Prep: Shake bottle well before opening.
  2. Set: Turn the dial on the Dial N' Spray to 1.5 fl. oz. (0.75-1.5 fl. oz. if treating the lawn).
  3. Fill: Pour concentrate into sprayer jar and reattach lid. Do NOT add water to the jar. Turn sprayer nozzle to preferred spray setting.
  4. Spray: Connect a garden hose to the sprayer. Turn on the water. Press and hold the trigger for a continuous spray. For lawns, spray evenly over the entire lawn. For ornamentals, roses, trees, and listed edible plants, thoroughly cover the upper and lower leaf surfaces, stems, and branches. To treat your home's foundation, spray a 2 ft. band of soil around the house and 2 ft. up the foundation.
  5. Clean-Up: Pour unused product back into the original concentrate bottle and clean the Dial N' Spray (refer to the Dial N' Spray cleaning instructions.)
  • Roses, Ornamentals, Listed Vegetables and Fruit Trees: Mix 1.5 fl. oz. (3 tablespoons) per gallon of water
  • Lawns: Mix 0.75 to 1.5 fl. oz. (1.5-3 tablespoons) per gallon of water to cover 125 sq. ft.; to control carpenter ants, use the 1.5 fl. oz. per gallon rate and apply evenly over 65 sq. ft.
  • Around Home Foundation: Mix 1.5 fl. oz (3 tablespoons) per gallon of water to cover 65 sq. ft.
  • Lawn Prep: For lawn applications, it's best to mow and water your lawn within 24 hours before applying. You can resume mowing 2-3 days after application.
  • Mole Cricket Control: If you're dealing with mole crickets, water the treated area thoroughly right after you apply the product.
  • Plant Coverage: When spraying plants, be sure to cover both the upper and lower surfaces of the leaves, as well as the stems and branches. For potted plants, a light spray on the soil surface is also helpful.
  • Edible Plants: Be sure to follow all label restrictions for specific edible plants including the amount of spray that can be applied, the interval between sprays, and the number of days to wait before harvest.
  • People & Pets: People and pets may enter treated areas after the spray has dried.
  • Protective Gear: Wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, socks, shoes, and gloves during application.
  • Wash Hands: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling the product.
  • Protect Water Sources: This pesticide is toxic to fish and other aquatic invertebrates. Do not apply it when the weather is windy or when rain is predicted within the next 24 hours to prevent it from washing into local water bodies.
