Where to Use:

• Indoors: Use as a spot treatment or crack & crevice spray in kitchens, bathrooms, basements, around doors and windows, under sinks, around appliances, and along baseboards.
• Outdoors: Applications to hard surfaces like sidewalks, driveways, patios, porches, windows, doors, and eaves are limited to spot or crack-and-crevice treatments; product may also be applied as a perimeter treatment to soil or vegetation around a structure and to building foundations up to a height of 3 feet.

Where Not to Use: Do not apply directly into sewers or drains, or to any area like a gutter where drainage to sewers, storm drains, water bodies, or aquatic habitats can occur. Do not spray animals. Do not apply in or on electrical equipment due to the possibility of shock hazard.

When to Use: Use it anytime you see evidence of insect activity or as a preventative treatment.

How Often to Use: This product provides 365 days of protection for ants, roaches, and spiders indoors on non-porous surfaces. For other pests reapply when you see new signs of insect activity. Re-treatment is recommended at least once per season (every 3 months) outdoors.

How to Use the Refill:

1. Remove Wand & Holster: From your empty Ortho Home Defense MAX Indoor Insect Barrier container, remove the hose connector from the cap and the side holster.
2. Attach & Prep: Attach the holster to the refill bottle and insert the hose connector into the spout on the refill cap. The refill is now ready to use with your Comfort Wand. Shake the container well before each use.

How to Apply Indoors:

1. Prep Wand: Unsnap the wand from its holster and unfold it. Twist the knob on the bottle's cap to 'ON'.
2. Apply: Twist the spray nozzle to your desired spray pattern. Slide the trigger lock to "Unlocked" and press the trigger. Hold the wand about 12 inches from the surface and apply a 4-inch band along baseboards and in cracks until slightly wet.

How to Apply Outdoors:

1. Prep Wand: Unsnap the wand from its holster and unfold it. Twist the knob on the bottle's cap to 'ON'.
2. Apply: Twist the spray nozzle to your desired spray pattern. Slide the trigger lock to "Unlocked" and press the trigger. Hold the sprayer about 12 inches from the surface and apply a 12-inch wide band along the exterior perimeter of your home until the area is slightly wet without soaking.

How to Treat for Fleas and Ticks:

1. Spot Treat: To kill fleas and ticks, spot treat infested areas such as pet resting quarters, nearby cracks and crevices, and localized areas of floor and floor coverings.
2. Replace Bedding: After treatment, remove old pet bedding and replace it with fresh, clean bedding.
3. Treat Your Pet: To control the source of the infestation, pets should be treated with a product specifically registered for use on animals. Do NOT spray animals with this Ortho Home Defense MAX product.

• Before You Spray: Cover or remove any exposed food, dishes, and food-processing equipment.
• After You Spray: People and pets may re-enter the treated area after the spray has dried. Thoroughly wash all food processing surfaces and utensils with soap and water before reuse.
• Storage: Turn the nozzle to the "off" setting and slide the switch on the trigger to "Lock." Twist the knob on the cap to "OFF." Retract the wand and place it back in the holster. Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children and pets.
• Reusable Wands: The Comfort Wand and Extended Reach Comfort Wand can be reused with the Ortho Home Defense MAX Indoor Insect Barrier refill bottle.

• Environmental Hazards: This product is extremely toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. To protect the environment, do not allow pesticide to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters, or surface waters. This product is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment or residues on blooming plants. Do not apply this product or allow it to drift to blooming plants if bees are foraging the treatment area.
• Application: Apply this product during calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours to help ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash pesticide off the treatment area.
