Fight back against mosquitoes* with Ortho® Home Defense® Mosquito Kill & Prevent mosquito stations. This innovative device creates an ideal breeding site to attract adult mosquitoes* and prevents the emergence of mosquito* larvae. Adult mosquitoes* die within nine days after spreading the formula to other breeding sites. Backed by scientific research and available to mosquito professionals, this technology is now available at a DIY price. The active ingredients are contained and targeted, not broadcast into the air. Don't settle for short-term relief from mosquito repellents - this device controls mosquito* populations over time for a long-term solution to mosquitoes*. You don't need flames, sprays, or batteries, and this station is easy to set up and maintain. To use, simply fill the station with water and place in your yard. Attach the refill band to the floater, finish assembling the station, and you're ready to start controlling mosquitoes*. Replenish water as needed and replace the refill band every month. See label for complete directions. This station controls mosquitoes* in an area up to 4,300 sq. ft. and includes 1 refill band for 1 month of protection. *Aedes and Culex spp

During peak seasons, mosquitoes can breed fast, making them a difficult bug to control. While many methods offer temporary or immediate relief, few address the problem at its source: the breeding cycle. Mosquito stations use that breeding cycle against them, working to prevent new mosquitoes* from emerging and taking over your backyard. If mosquitoes are already plaguing your yard, we recommend a multi-step approach with a mosquito killer or repeller for immediate (though temporary) relief and mosquito stations to control the overall mosquito* population over time and provide long-term control. *Aedes and Culex spp
Mosquito repellents only provide coverage for individuals. While they can be effective at keeping mosquitoes away for short periods of time, they don't kill or prevent mosquitoes. Some find the smell or residues left by repellents unpleasant. Mosquito repellers offer more coverage, but typically under 500 sq. ft. That may be enough to protect your patio, but it's not going to cover your whole yard. Like repellents, repellers don't actually kill mosquitoes; they just keep mosquitoes away from a small area. Each Ortho® Home Defense® Mosquito Kill & Prevent station protects 4,300 sq. ft. Mosquito traps, such bug zappers and sticky traps, kill any mosquito unlucky enough to fly in. Mosquito stations, however, take control one step further by killing mosquito* larvae inside the station and other places where adult mosquitoes* lay eggs. *Aedes and Culex spp
Mosquito stations work to control mosquito populations* over time. Adult mosquitoes* die within 9 days to give them time to spread the formula to other breeding sites. Larvae inside the station and at other breeding sites are killed, effectively preventing new mosquitoes*. Because this method depends stopping mosquitoes during the breeding cycle, it may take a couple of weeks to notice fewer mosquitoes* in your yard. *Aedes and Culex spp
