How To Use
- Prep Your Space: If your lawn is looking a little shaggy, mow it a day or two before you apply.
- Get to It: Pour the product into your Scotts spreader, set the dial, and take a steady walk. A little overlap on your passes is a good thing.
- Water It In: Give your green space a quick, light watering right after you apply to get things started.
- Sweep Up: Knock any granules that landed on your driveway or sidewalk back onto the lawn.

Effective lawn food safe for pets
I put it down on my lawn as directed. Five or six days later my lawn definitely looked much healthier. I am back to cutting it every 4 or 5 days.

Whoa! Miracle Product
I received this product for free from Scott’s and Influenster in return for my honest review. This stuff is pretty amazing. I had several bare spots in my yard and divided to give this product a try. I could results in about 30 days. We had one really good rain - and I did not spend the time to water it. I was really surprised and really happy!!

After struggling with brown patches across my lawn for months, I decided to try Scotts OMS Straight Lawn Fert - 2M—and I’m glad I did. My grass had become thin and discolored in several areas, likely due to a combination of poor soil nutrition and heat stress. I applied the fertilizer according to the instructions, using a standard spreader for even coverage.
Within 10–14 days, I noticed a significant difference. The brown patches began to fade, and fresh green blades started filling in. The rest of the lawn also responded well—the color deepened, the growth became more uniform, and the entire yard started to look much healthier. What really impressed me was how quickly the results showed up, and how easy the product was to apply with minimal mess or odor.
I’ve tried a few lawn treatments in the past, but this one delivered the most noticeable improvement in the shortest amount of time. If your yard is patchy, dull, or recovering from stress, I’d definitely recommend giving Scotts OMS a try. It revived my lawn and gave it a lush, vibrant look just in time for summer.

Helped my grass seed come I'm thick
I received this product from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. Scott Natural Grass Food has helped my new grass seed to come in thick and healthy. The packaging was easy to open and put in my seed spreader and the amount of fertilizer is good for the money. My side yard needed to be reseeded after I put in a fence recently and this was easy to put down with the seed and it was effective. I really appreciate that this product was more natural and safe to use around kids and pets, no nasty pesticides. Also, loved that the bag is recyclable. Overall, highly recommend for seed or sod!

I’ve been using Scotts Turf Builder Lawn Food for couple of weeks and it’s one of the more reliable fertilizers I’ve tried. It’s a straightforward product—no weed control or extra additives—just pure lawn nutrition aimed at strengthening roots and promoting green, thick grass. On the downside, pricing can be a bit high compared to generic brands, and while the product works well on its own, pairing it with regular watering and mowing is essential to see the full benefits.
