Description
Build your lawn with Scotts® Turf Builder® Thick'R Lawn® Sun & Shade. With this combination grass seed, fertilizer, and soil improver, you can get up to a 50% thicker lawn subject to proper care (results may vary based on the current condition of your lawn). This 3-in-1 solution for thin, weak lawns helps turn your grass into thicker, greener turf with stronger roots in one easy application. Use this product once in the late spring and once in the late summer or early fall. Apply in three easy steps: 1) Prep your lawn by mowing to 2 inches or at the lowest mower setting, then rake to loosen the top layer of soil and remove dead grass and debris. 2) Use a Scotts® spreader to apply (use the recommended settings on the label). 3) Water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist for 2 weeks or until seeds germinate, then water regularly to maintain seedling growth. One 10 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Thick'R Lawn® Sun & Shade covers 1,000 sq. ft.

Maybe Too Late In The Fall
I live in Missouri and have Fescue. I might have overseeded with the Scotts® Turf Builder® Thick'R Lawn® Sun & Shade too late in the Fall. We had a dog days summer that went into mid-September, so I decided to wait until October to seed, then weekends slipped away and early October turned into late October. We have had some good soaking rains since I seeded, so fingers crossed I see some sprouts popping soon.

Good grass seed!
I got lucky - put the grass seed down just as we finally got sone much needed rain! The cool weather is helping, too. I expect to be able to cut the new grass in another 2-3 weeks.

Amazing
Our front lawn was looking terrible over the winter when deer trampled it into muddy bare spots. My husband was angry and thought it would never recover. I used one bag in April, applied with a hand spreader and despite heavy rains and continued daily deer visits, Scotts Turf Builder Thick'R Lawn Sun & Shade has turned our lawn back into a thick green oasis! All of our neighborhood lawns are brown and dry, yet ours is green and healthy. We have a huge lawn and I plan to purchase more in the fall to treat other areas, the price makes it affordable.
