Waste

Building circular systems

Waste doesn’t have to be a problem – it can be a resource. We believe in the power of a circular economy that keeps materials in use for as long as possible. Our approach is simple and effective: reduce, recycle, reuse.

Reduce

We work to minimize waste in our operations by using less plastic in our packaging and choosing recyclable materials when possible. We see additional benefits in reduced emissions when shipping packaging that is lighter and more compact.

Reuse

We find new life for materials that would otherwise go to landfills. By upcycling them into consumer goods or repurposing them for agricultural, municipal and industrial applications, we turn waste into valuable resources.

Recycle

We partner with local organizations to recycle materials such as green waste, wooden pallets, cardboard and plastic. We also address gaps in recycling infrastructure to create more effective circular systems.

Reusing coir waste

Coir is a natural material from coconut husks that is processed for growing media and lawn repair products. Coir manufacturing creates coir waste, but we collaborate with landscape, renewable energy and organics partners to repurpose it. We’re diverting over 1.7 million pounds of coir waste from landfills.

Largest green waste recycler

Through partnerships with local communities, we collect green waste — including grass clippings, leaves and branches — for composting. This process not only diverts waste from landfills but returns vital nutrients to the soil. As a result, we've become one of the world's largest green waste recyclers.
