ScottsMiracle-Gro Field

Say hello to ScottsMiracle-Gro Field

Supporting play on natural grass at every level

November 2025

Breaking new ground with the Crew

Starting with the 2026 season in February, the Columbus Crew’s home stadium will be called ScottsMiracle-Gro Field. This builds on our relationship that dates back to the Crew’s beginnings, when we helped establish and care for the pitch at Historic Crew Stadium. We’ve continued to collaborate with the Crew as the team’s Official Lawn Care & Gardening Partner, supplying products to maintain the Crews’ natural grass playing surfaces, sponsoring in-stadium promotions and supporting community initiatives such as neighborhood soccer field refurbishments and a field day with Every Kid Sports, which gives income-restricted families access to youth sports by paying their fees.

Now that commitment moves beyond the pitch to the entire facility – and more.

“For years we’ve helped the Crew play on one of the premier grass surfaces in sports,” said John Sass, SVP of Lawns. “We’re honored to extend that support by putting our name on the best stadium in the MLS.”

Rooted in a deep community connection

Our partnership is built on a strong foundation on and off the pitch because we understand the value of play on natural, green grass at every level. We have worked closely with the Crew and the Crew Foundation through the years on community initiatives and look forward to expanding this commitment, bringing more activities and mentorship to young people in Columbus and beyond, encouraging people of all backgrounds to get outdoors and enjoy the benefits of green spaces, gardens and natural grass surfaces.

We’ll also be a Presenting Partner of the Crew’s “Soccer in Schools” program built to inspire a deep love of soccer in youth. This program provides physical education teachers a model to prioritize soccer as an in-school physical activity that aligns with curriculum standards and the “Stay in the Game! Keep Learning, Everyday” attendance network. Together, we’ll empower students to establish lifelong healthy habits through the fundamentals of soccer and motivate them to “Stay in the Game!” with regular school attendance.

Aligning to our business strategy

The naming rights agreement further supports our plans to build ScottsMiracle-Gro into the premier lifestyle brand that enables people of all ages to enjoy lawns, gardens and green spaces.

Nate Baxter summed it up this way: “You couldn’t find a more authentic partnership than what we have with the Crew, as it reflects what we’re all about on multiple levels. The partnership aligns with our vision to bring people together through our iconic brands in their backyards, homes and now at Crew stadium. We’re committed to attracting diverse consumers to our lawn and garden space, and ScottsMiracle-Gro Field helps deliver on this. Soccer is a multicultural, family-oriented sport whose popularity is surging among people of all ages.”

Showcasing ScottsMiracle-Gro Field on a bigger stage

The impact of having our name on the stadium is far reaching, extending well beyond Columbus to the Major League Soccer and global stage. The Crew opened its downtown stadium in 2021 and has hosted capacity crowds and welcomed major soccer competitions, such as the 2024 MLS All-Star Game, multiple U.S. Men’s National Team matches and the 2024 SheBelieves Cup. The facility also hosts events in its premium spaces, such as weddings, corporate functions, fundraisers, holiday parties, career fairs and gatherings of all varieties.
