DESCRIPTION
Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair Centipede Grass is a revolutionary grass seeding product designed to fill in bare spots on your lawn. This Centipede Grass seed grows in tough conditions, including scorching heat, full sun and partial shade, acidic soil and on slopes. Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair consists of high performance grass seed, continuous release lawn food, and super-absorbent growing mulch material. Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair Centipede Grass also includes a tackifier to help reduce seed wash-away and a protectant to help keep seedlings safe from harmful diseases. There are three easy steps to success: 1) prep the area by removing dead grass and loosening hard soil, 2) evenly apply EZ Seed® so the area is mostly covered but bare ground is still visible, and 3) saturate with water until no more water is being absorbed and seed turns dark brown. Plant when daytime temperatures are between 70°F and 90°F with no danger of frost. For best results, water when mulch turns light brown to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
1. PREP
- Simply prepare the area you want to grow grass. Remove dead grass and loosen hard soil to help tiny seedlings root.
2. APPLY
- Evenly apply EZ Seed® so the area is mostly covered, but bare ground is still visible. (Use half as much for thin areas). Only apply the recommended amount so that seedlings have enough space to access water and nutrients.
3. WATER
- A deep and thorough initial watering is the key to success. Gently water the area until EZ Seed® is completely saturated and no more water is being absorbed (this may take several minutes). Continue to water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall.

- For use on bare spots or patches within your centipede grass lawn.
When to Apply
- Spring and early summer are the best times to plant EZ Seed® because the seed germinates best when daytime temperatures are between 70 degrees F and 90 degrees F and all danger of frost has passed.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Watering Tips
- A deep and thorough initial watering is the key to success. Gently water the area until EZ Seed® is completely saturated and no more water is being absorbed (this may take several minutes). Continue to water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall.
Using with Other Products
- Do not apply a weed control product until after at least four mowings.

New Grass
I had a hard spring freeze that killed all the new growth and most of the centipede,
This product was easy to use and following the directions this is filling in the dead spots nicely.
I would recommend this grass see to anyone that has bare spots, winter kill spots, or starting a place and letting it spread.

Good option for small bare spots.
Good option for centipede bare spots. Make sure you’ve prepared the soil and prepared to water in and water on a regular basis. It still requires effort unlike sod. You also need to make sure it’s applied after temps are regularly over 60 degrees.

Dead patch filling in
Put down Scott’s centipede EZ seed and my dead patch is starting to fill in nicely. Will continue to monitor it and use in other dead spots as well. Took about two weeks to begin to germinate the seed.

Helped with bare spots
This product was very easy to apply to my yard. The the mulch ingrediant helps the seeds stay moist and stationary. I am anticipatinting that the centipede gras will grow and fill in the bare spots. Very pleased so faf

Easy to use.
Worked great on a couple of bare areas in the front yard, just used a garden rake to loosen up the ground and spread a layer of ezseed over the area and watering was easy, first your initial watering and when the seed turns a lighter color it was time to water again.

Scotts EZ Seeds Patch & Repair
This Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair does exactly what it says. I had patches in my yard and used this and now grass is filling in the patches. I used this on the patches and watered it daily. Within weeks I could already see new growth. This bag is very large and will last a while.

Quick repair
This product works great! I had a truck back up on my grass to install a new patio. This tore up the grass and left ruts. A few weeks after putting down the easy seed you can’t even tell where it was.

Just put the product down. Easy application. Now waiting on results. As with other Scott’s products, I expect nothing but satisfaction with this product. I have used Scott’s products for 30 years with wonderful results.
