DESCRIPTION
Scotts® PatchMaster® Lawn Repair Mix Sun + Shade Mix comes pre-mixed to make repairing bare spots easy! This product contains a mixture of premium Perennial Ryegrasses, Fine Fescues, and Kentucky Bluegrass to adapt to sunny or shady conditions, 100% recycled mulch to help keep seeds moist and in place, and fertilizer for fast growth and thick results. In fact, this mix starts to grow in as few as 7 days, feeds up to 6 weeks, and absorbs 3x its weight in water! Apply in the fall or spring when daytime temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F. Evenly spread a thin layer of PatchMaster® Lawn Repair Mix so the area is completely covered. A deep and thorough initial watering is the key to success. Gently water the area until PatchMaster® is completely saturated and no more water is being absorbed. Continue to water daily or more as needed to keep the soil moist. One 10 lb. bag of Scotts® PatchMaster® Lawn Repair Mix Sun + Shade Mix has a bare spot coverage of 145 sq. ft. and a thin grass coverage of 290 sq. ft.
WHEN AND WHERE TO USE
Where Not to Use
- Do not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches. Do not apply if heavy rain is expected. Apply this product only to your lawn and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk or street, back onto your lawn.
Where to Use
- This product is designed to repair bare or thin spots in your lawn.
When to Apply
- Fall and Spring are the best times to use PatchMaster Lawn Repair Mix. Seed germinates best anytime temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F and all danger of frost has passed.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Watering Tips
- Water daily to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall.
Using with other Products
- Do not apply weed control products until the grass is well established (mowed at least 4 times). Additionally, if you recently used a weed control product, refer to those product instructions to determine how soon you can plant grass seed.

Product worked well for me.
Lots of bad reviews, but i bought it and its working great. You have to spread it thick and shake the bag up to mix it. But all the spots i put have grass shooting up thick. I dont think it covers as far as they say though.
I wish it wasnt so expensive, i need this for my entire yard.

Great for bare patches
This stuff works great. Its a combo of seed, fertilizer, and paper to keep the seed wet. I find this works much better then the ez seed. This is my go-to for bare spots

Did nothing
We bought this product to fill in some bare patches on our lawn. We followed all of the directions and it's been 3 weeks and nothing. We added new topsoil and tried seeding again, still nothing. Very disappointed. This purchase was a fail.

Scotts has gone way downhill with this product!
Let me add to the poor reviews. This stuff is a joke. I followed all the instructions to a T. Shake the bag, spread evenly, water daily (or 2 times a day) and this barely grew anything. Some of the spots it grew NOTHING! I've used Scotts lawn patch years ago and it was a wonderful product. I suppose they caved to the environmentalists and used inferior "sustainable" ingredients such as that hideous shredded up newspaper they call mulch. Save your money.

Garbage Product
I bought two bags of this from Home Depot and not one blade of grass has grown. I watered it 4-5 times daily and still not one seed sprouted. Personally, it is just a bag of bogus fertilizer and some dead grass seeds. Don't waste your money as this product is garbage.

VERY DISAPPOINTED
VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I always depend on your products for great lawn results. I always use turf builder and and other products from you to enrich my soil, but Pathmaster has been a huge bust. I bought two bags at Walmart to fill in dead areas ,and 5 weeks later, after careful watering and protecting the ground, the results are terrible!! Hardly any new growth at all while surrounding grass is doing well. By now, I expected serious growth of solid NEW grass. After spending over $60 for products, I expected much better from Scotts.
