The Scotts Elite Spreader is perfect for large lawns.
How To Use
- PREP: First, check the back of your Scotts product bag. You'll find the right spreader setting and any specific tips for that product there.
- FILL: Now you're ready to fill the hopper with your chosen Scotts lawn food, seed, or ice melt.
- SET: Turn the orange dial to the correct setting you just found on the bag.
- GO: It's time to start walking! Just squeeze the trigger to get started and keep a steady, brisk pace. Aim to make each new pass about 6 ft. away from the last one.
PRO TIP FOR EDGES: To keep product off your driveway and sidewalks, simply slide the EdgeGuard lever to block the right side of the spread pattern.

Excellent Spreader
I have only had the opportunity to use the spreader one time on my lawn, but it was extremely easy to put together, set, and begin the spreading process. I found myself having to stop, go back, and go over an area or two here or there where the rotary spreader was jammed up a bit, but overall it was an easy process with a well-functioning machine.

Great Spreader
I bought this a couple of years ago and love the way it handles and the sturdy design. I really like the large hopper. I'm able to put enough product in for my entire yard.I've always had Scott's rotary style spreaders. I have learned I have to adjust the flow. I can't go by the setting on the bag. When it says 3 3/4 I have to set it at more like 4 1/2.The flow seems very low on the recommended settings.

Evenly spreads seeds and saves a lot of time!
I purchased this Elite spreader last spring to spread seed on a newly developed property of mine. I decided on the Elite spreader because it has a lot more room to hold seed. I am very happy about this purchase. It took me less time than I imagined spreading seed on my lawn using this. It is easy to push, my father has arthritic hands and he is able to use this without any issue. I find that this spreader evenly spreads and I use this on hills, flat surfaces, and near wetland. The spreader is easy for me to clean out and store. Overall, I am very impressed with the Scotts Elite Spreader and look forward to using it a lot more this spring.

Great spreader!
This spreader has significantly reduced how long it takes me to sorsad fertilizer or extra seed. A job that used to take a couple hours can be done in minutes now and given the size of my lawn that it absolea MASSIVE time saver!
