As Senior Vice President of Special Operating Forces, Mike Hoover is responsible for mergers and acquisitions support, strategic planning, enterprise intelligence and key internal consultancy initiatives. Mike has held this position since June 2015 when he joined the team, bringing over 29 years of military and executive level consultant experience.
Prior to joining ScottsMiracle-Gro, Mike was a consultant and partner with the McChrystal Group. Prior to joining McChrystal Group, Mike served in the US Army Special Operations Forces for over 27 years His last 21 years were spent in the most selective unit in the Department of Defense. Mike retired from the Army as the Command Sergeant Major for a Battalion level operational element.
On a typical weekend, Mike is with his kids and partner riding horses and enjoying other outdoor activities followed by dinner at their favorite Mediterranean restaurant to have lots of lamb and hummus.
