Where to Use: This organic soil is specifically formulated for indoor container plants and seed starting
When to Use: Use this potting soil whenever you're potting a new plant, repotting an existing plant, or starting seeds indoors
How Often to Use: For the happiest plants, we recommend repotting with fresh soil every 1-2 years.
Formulated for: All indoor potted plants including houseplants (pothos, monstera, peace lily, spider plant, and snake plant) and potted herbs (basil, rosemary, thyme, mint, and oregano). It's also great for starting vegetable, herb, and flower seeds indoors.
How to Use
For Potted Plants:
- Choose Your Pot: Pick a container that has a drainage hole. This is key to happy houseplants.
- Fill it Up: Fill your pot about 1/3 full with the potting mix.
- Plant Away: Gently loosen the root ball of your plant and place it in the pot.
- Add More Soil: Add more potting mix around your plant, leaving about an inch of space from the rim of the pot.
- Water and Enjoy: Give your plant a good watering and let it drain. Now you can find the perfect spot for it in your home!
For Seed Starting:
- Select a Container: Choose a shallow container with a drain hole.
- Fill and Plant: Fill the container with potting mix and plant your seeds according to the package directions.
- Water and Wait: Water thoroughly and keep the soil moist and out of direct sunlight until your seeds sprout.
Watering Tips
The best way to know if your plant is thirsty is to stick your finger about an inch into the soil. If it feels dry, it's time to water. Be sure not to let your plant sit in a saucer full of drainage water, as this can lead to root rot.

- Time to Repot: To keep your long-term container plants happy, we recommend repotting them with fresh potting mix every year or two. This gives them fresh nutrients and helps prevent the soil from getting compacted.

Miracle gro organic indoor potting mix has very nice earthy scent to it. The soil is light and not heavy. Which is perfect for indoor plants. I like that it is organic and has been tested. I used this for my plants inside and they look amazing.

I can’t believe how well this indoor potting mix has worked on my indoor plants. My plants are thriving and look so healthy. This potting mix is the perfect mixture that drains and holds moisture very well. I love the texture of this potting mix and I also love that it doesn’t contain any unwanted debris. Indoor palm plant
I have a large indoor palm and a few months ago a branch broke off. I was able to save the branch, and it, it grew roots and I planted it into a pot. But from there it wasn’t doing well.
I then decided to replant it using the Miracle-Gro Organic Indoor Potting Mix. Doing this made all the difference. My palm tree is doing amazing. Just the next day the leaves weren’t droopy and the color was brighter. My palm plant looks so healthy now. There is so much going on in this soil, the texture is soft & fluffy when I poured into the planter. I can see all the nutrients. I am so happy how well my palm plant is doing.

My Plants Are Thriving!!
I've been using Miracle-Gro Organic Indoor Potting Mix for a couple of weeks now, and I'm genuinely impressed. My houseplants especially my pothos, and even my finicky money plant have been growing beautifully since I switched to this mix. I can't even believe my money plan is now having a little baby on the side! There was no sign of this prior to my miracle gro use. I love that it's organic, offers a great texture and holds moisture well without getting soggy.

A whole New soil
I absolutely so enjoyed using this soil and repotting three of my indoor plants. It was soft it was sperm it wasn't mushy but it was coarse it held well a great smell I loved all the little extras including in it and most of all I love the fact that it was organic. That really comes in handy when having little dogs around in case they want to go over and mess with the soil which they always want to it held firmly my plants took to it I water them a couple of days ago when I replanted them and they look great
