1. Shake it On: Shake the plant food evenly over the soil.
2. Mix it In: Gently work the granules into the top 1-3 inches of soil.
3. Water and Smile: Give your garden a good watering to start the feeding.

For Potted Plants:

1. Shake it On: Shake the plant food evenly over the soil surface.
2. Mix it In: Mix the granules into the soil in your container. If you're working with a new plant, mix plant food in before planting. If you have an established plant, lightly work it in without disturbing your plant's roots.
3. Water and Enjoy: Water your plants to get the feeding started.

For In-Ground Gardens:

• Use 1/2 - 3/4 cup for every 10 sq. ft. of garden space.

For Potted Plants:

• For a 6-inch pot, use 1 1/4 teaspoon
• For an 8-inch pot, use 1 tablespoon
• For a 10-inch pot, use 1 1/2 tablespoons
• For a 12-inch pot, use 3 tablespoons
• For a 14-inch pot, use 5 tablespoons

After you've applied the plant food and watered it in, just continue with your regular watering routine. The best way to know if your plants are thirsty is to stick your finger an inch into the soil—if it's dry, it's time for a drink.

A Little Goes a Long Way: Be sure to follow the application rates. A well-fed plant is a happy plant, but overfeeding can be too much of a good thing.
