In addition, it kills both the mound and the queen, and keeps new mounds from forming. Use this pest control product on residential lawns, ornamental plants and flower gardens. To treat mounds, apply 2/3 cup of product over each fire ant mound and the surrounding 3-foot diameter. After application, drench the mounds with 2 gallons of water. Do not water to the point of run-off, and do not make applications in the rain. For best results, apply in cool weather (65°F to 80°F) or in the morning or late evening hours when ants are most active. Do not apply this product to vegetables. Do not allow people and pets to re-enter treated area until granules have been watered in and area has dried. Applying this product in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours will help to ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash pesticide off the treatment area. Sweeping any product that lands on a driveway, sidewalk, or street, back onto the treated area of the lawn will help to prevent run-off to water bodies or drainage systems.

I see an ant mound, apply the product, and walk away. Next thing you know " No more ants". That's really important to me because I have children running around in my yard and I don't want to worry about them being bitten by ants!

No more mounds
Fire ants are the hardest things to get rid off, this product is great for killing the mound. It doesn't really get fire ants out of the yard but it does make them move to a different spot, you will not see any new mounds for weeks sometimes months. Works great with the 3 in 1 weed and feed and ant kill scotts has.

The baseball park is great!
I help maintain a Little League baseball park. We were having an issue with fire ants in the outfield. We used the product to alleviate many ants to meet their maker. The boys in the outfield only worry about the fly balls and not the ants at their feet.
