- Harmful if swallowed. Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes or clothing. Wear long-sleeved shirt and long pants, socks, shoes, and gloves. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet. Prolonged or frequently repeated skin contact may cause allergic reactions in some individuals.

DESCRIPTION
Kill pesky mosquitoes in your yard with Ortho® Home Defense® Backyard Mosquito & Bug Killer Ready-to-Spray. In addition to killing mosquitos that may transmit Zika Virus, Malaria, dengue fever, West Nile Virus, and more as listed, this pest control product also provides 3 month protection against ants, fleas, American dog ticks, and spiders (excluding black widow), and kills all listed insects. Use this odorless, non-staining formula on lawns, around your home perimeter, and on landscape plants including fruit trees and vegetables (review chart on the label for application directions). Apply when insects first appear. To use, attach your hose to the sprayer and turn on water. Spray lawns evenly, and spray applicable plants to wet leaves and branches, but not to the point of runoff. For perimeter treatment, spray the foundation to a height of 2 feet and also a 2-foot band around the house next to the foundation. People and pets may enter treated areas after spray has dried. One 32 fl. oz. bottle of Ortho® Home Defense® Backyard Mosquito & Bug Killer covers 5,300 sq. ft. for lawn treatment, 2,700 sq. ft. of plants, or 1,400 sq. ft. of home perimeter.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
How to Use
- Connect sprayer to hose.
- Turn on water.
- To begin spraying, slide lever to the ON position.
- Spray only until the surface of leaves is wet. Apply evenly.
- To stop spraying, slide lever to the OFF position.
- Turn off water.
- Relieve the water pressure by sliding the lever to WATER.
- After water slows to a drip, slide the lever to the OFF position.
- You can now disconnect the hose.
WHEN AND WHERE TO USE
Where Not to Use
- All outdoor applications must be limited to spot and crack-and-crevice treatments only, except for the following permitted uses:
1. Treatment to soil or vegetation around structures
2. Application to lawns, turf, and other vegetation
3. Application to building foundations, up to a maximum height of 3 feet.

Love this stuff
I treat 6000 sq ft with 2 bottles once per year late spring or early summer. ALL bugs. not just the monster Texas mosquitos, are gone until next spring.

Effective kill & control of Spotted Lantern Flies
I sprayed this in my frontyard and backyard. I can finally go outside without any bugs during the day. no more pesky mosquitoes. I live in Texas and there are plenty of them here.
I needed something because we have animals and also for us to be able to go on the back yard without getting ticks BUY IT!!!

I keep extras on hand
they really work, I just spray my entire back porch and additional 5-6 feet around my porch and the mosquitos disappear. I have used this before several gatherings and it doesn't leave a chemical smell.

This product surpassed my expectations.
If you can't stand creepy crawlers and winged pests, the Ortho Home Defense Bug Killer Ready-to-Spray works on contact. I highly recommend this product and thoroughly enjoyed using it. I will definately purchase this product and recommend it to my family and friends.

Not really sure on this one?
We've been getting a lot more rain than normal for our area so the mosquitoes are reproducing rapidly and they are ravenous. The downside is, I put this down and it appeared to work for the 2 days that it didn't rain before the sprinkler system ran. After that, they appeared to be back and angry. I used the whole bottle after the rain.
I wish that the formula could withstand a watered lawn or rain shower but that might be impossible. So factor in your lawn watering and check the forecast before use to save money.

This product works great and fast.
We have had so much rain here the past month the mosquitos are unbearable. Sprayed this product all around our house and under the carport and mosquitos were gone. Now we can open the door and no mosquitos are coming in because there are none!

Just what I needed!
The wet September weather we have been having has brought out some of the worst mosquitoes attacks I have seen in forever! I could hardly work out in the yard, even with personal bug spray. One good spray of of this Ortho Home Defense Backyard Mosquito and Bug spray and the mosquitoes were gone! The added benefit of my ornamental shrubs and flowers are free of bugs as well!
