DESCRIPTION

Don't let nutsedge take control of your lawn. Ortho® Nutsedge Killer for Lawns Ready-To-Spray selectively controls tough weeds like purple and yellow nutsedge (nutgrass), kyllinga, wild violet, dollarweed, dandelion, broadleaf plantain, purslane, pigweed, spurge, and other listed sedge and broadleaf weeds. This ready-to-spray formula kills pesky weeds, not your lawn and may be used on both cool-season grasses* and warm-season grasses**. To use, connect your garden hose to the sprayer and turn the water on. Slide the thumb activation switch to ON position and spray evenly over the area to be treated. For best results, apply to weeds when they're less than 3 inches high. Do not apply to newly planted, plugged or sodded turfgrass, and do not spray ornamentals, flowers, or vegetable beds. Keep children and pets out of the treated area until sprays have dried. This 32 fl. oz. container of Ortho® Nutsedge Killer for Lawns Ready-to-Spray covers 5,000 sq. ft. *Creeping Bentgrass, Tall Fescue, Fine Fescue, Kentucky Bluegrass, Rough Bluegrass, and Ryegrass (perennial) **Bahiagrass, Bermudagrass, Buffalograss, Carpetgrass, Centipedegrass, Kikuyugrass, Seashore Paspalum, St. Augustinegrass, and Zoysiagrass

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best I have found This is the only chemical that I have found to work. It does not harm the Bermuda. The only negative is that it is expensive and needs to be in a concentrate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Quickly to Kill Sedge Not Lawn Worked faster than I thought. I applied it to the yellow nutsedge in the lawn and thought it would take 2 to 3 weeks to work, but the sedge started to die and brown up within 2 days. I will watch it to determine if it needs another application. There was too much to pull out manually and this made me try this herbicide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nutsedge Killing Champ Nutsedge is one tricky week to kill. I have tried all sorts of herbicides to kill it with limited to no effect, It always came back. I spray Ortho Nutsedge Killer at the first sign of the stuff and it is gone for the season. Must come from my neighbors yard. Harmless to my Kentucky Blue Grass and Hostas. As always read the instructions, this is harmful to some grasses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great on fescue! This kills the nutsedge perfectly, not the fescue lawn. It did take a week to completely turn brown, but this maybe due to the inconsistent wet/dry weather in the area. Great product and I'll use it again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommend The only thing I’ve ever found that WORKS!! I live in western Oklahoma and have beautiful green lush Bermuda grass. This product kills the nut grass starting in a day or two after spraying, and never sets my grass back any at all. This is the 2nd year I’ve used it and I’m thrilled with the results

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding! Absolutely smoked my nutsedge! By the end of the second day, all the nut grass was down and turning brown. I have Celebration Bermuda and it did not yellow it at all. I am sure that the 95 degree + temps was responsible for the quick action, and I know some will come back, but I will just re-treat when it does. I let the Celebration grow out to 1" so the nutsedge would have a chance to get tall before treating. I will mow tonight after 3 days back to 1/2", and see if any new stuff sprouts

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've had great results over several years. I've used Ortho Nutsedge Killer for several years. I use the small hand-held spray bottle and spray individual spots cropping up in my Bermuda lawn. Always works and never had a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Works! After only a few days of using Ortho Nutsedge Killer those fast-growing shiny plants invading our lawn turned brown and withered. Very satisfied.
