STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
How to Use
- Prepare seeding or sodding area by removing dead grass and weeds and loosen top 0.25 inch of soil with rake.
- Place 1 inch of Scotts® Turfbuilder® Lawn Soil evenly over area.
- Spread grass seed and lightly rake into soil or lay sod over newly applied Scotts® Turfbuilder® Lawn Soil.

Massive Improvement!
Booyah!! Doesn't even look like the same lawn. Scarified => Aerated => Lawnsoil top dress => Scarified again to mix in to native soil => Seed => Water water water.

No mulch or foreign material
I just used a bag I had left over from a previous grass project that I didn't do.i used it as a top dressing for a Bahia new sod. Sod has been installed for 2 weeks and remembered I had that bad . There was no mulch or foreign matter in it. Just straight up topsoil and ingredients. Rain coming next few days and I'll see if it perks up a bit. The original sod was not that great a batch.

Quality product
I just bought a few bags of this product to put under some new rolls of sod. The product was high-quality and did not contain any of the bulky items other reviewers are mentioning or showing pictures of. For me, this was a quality product for my project.

Excellent soil for lawns
My experience with this product has been amazing!
I used it for toppdressing overseeing and lawn leveling multiple times, and for starter seeding . Fast germination
The grass greens up quickly , the product offers value has it does not disappoint as do other less price point bagged soils i have applied. In conjunction with a seasonal lawn care program including soil testing
Great results, consistently. I am planning a top dressing application in spring to the south side lawn
Approx 4000 sq feet, and will not consider local bulk or other bagged soils . Scott’s lawn soil gives me confidence for a successful result long term. Lehigh valley, Pa, cool season grasses

Product worked great with pre-germinated seed
I bought this a month ago and after letting it sit for a week, I laid it out over an area of lawn for repair/patching with pre-germinated perennial rye grass. Worked like a charm on my cheap, no-name grass seed.

Buy it now!
Absolute best product available for your yard! I've been using this for a few years and am constantly telling people about it. We use it when areas get stressed from the heat, when I've removed crap grass and on our bamboo. This isn't a one time fixes the problem soil. You have to keep applying it, but it works! If you have a bare area you have to keep applying it until the grass fills in. If you have a stressed area one good application usually does the trick. I am so glad I found this product.

Well worth the money
I had 2 areas to reseed grass. One I used some "top soil" I got for less the $2.00 a bag and had laying around. The other area bought and used the Turf Builder "LawnSoil." Followed the directions and worked in some Scotts Sun & Shade. Watered both areas every day. In no time I saw the LawnSoil sprouting and coming in great . .in 3 weeks I was able to carefully mow and by the 5th week it was ready for traffic and regular cutting . . it is the one area in my entire lawn that looks the best . . I won't even talk about the other area I tried to patch. Like my title says . . Well worth the money !

Great addition to an old yard
This spring we noticed a lot more weeds in our front yard. We spent several days pulling them and were left with a lot of bare spots.
We added in the Scotts Turf Builder lawn soil when planting new grass seed and I believe was one of the main reasons grass has grown so quickly!
The bags were filled with a soil and mulch like products. Other reviews stated that they found "junk inside" but we had no issues! We were able to spread the lawn soil very easily and evenly throughout our bare spots in the yard. We did mix this with our old soil before spreading the grass seeds. Then we covered the areas up with more lawn soil, packed it down and watered twice a day. We were hoping by packing it down, the birds would leave it alone.
I do like the way the lawn soil looks when spread and how well it helps hold in the moisture from the daily watering. We have had grass start growing about about 5 days! I would definitely look into using the Scotts Turf Builder Lawn Soil!
