Shrinkage
Like product but bag shrinkage not 5000 sq feet for a few years and it was 4000 for a few years and now this year it even less and still advertise it as 5000

Grass at 70% weeds at 30%
My wife has purchased the Scotts 4 step for the past 2 years as we had our new yard sodded 3 years ago. Last year we had a few weeds but this year we are being over run with clover and other weeds. I have followed the instructions on application and put down step #1 at the end of March, step #2 end of May and step #2 end of July. Am very dissapointed in this product as I thought Scotts was good at keeping weeds at bay.

A once great product?!?
We have been using the four step program for many years and the effectiveness has definitely suffered the last 2-3 years! More weeds and less green grass! We will be looking for an alternative!

Disappointed
I purchased this at the start of 2024 and applied exactly as outlined. I also have an excellent sprinkler system. This lawn care plan made zero difference from a grass quality and weed prevention standpoint vs. prior years. It simply functioned as an out-of-pocket cost and extended use of my time

Burned my law completely
The worst. Stay away from this product. It completely burned my lawn after application as per the instructions. The 4 step process is a sham. They will say it was misapplied but it was appli d via a Scotts spreader.

4-Step not as good as in past
The four step program did not work as well in 2023 compared to earlier years. Lawn was not as dark green. Did formula change? I see this year coverage has been reduced per bag.
