Where to Use: Safe to apply to Bluegrass, Fescue, Ryegrass, Bahiagrass, Bermudagrass, Centipedegrass, and Zoysiagrass.
Where Not to Use: Do not apply to St. Augustinegrass (including Floratam), Buffalograss, Dichondra, desirable clovers, Lippia, or ornamental plants. Do not apply near water or storm drains.
When to Use: Apply when weeds are actively growing and daytime temperatures are below 85°F. Do not apply when it is windy or if rain is expected that day.
How Often to Use: Limit applications to a maximum of 2 times per year. Wait 3 to 4 weeks between applications.
1. Shake: Shake the bottle well before using.
2. Connect: Attach the reusable applicator to your hose and turn on the water. Start at the farthest point in your yard and work your way back.
3. Spray: Point the nozzle in the direction you want to spray and slide the switch to the ON position.
4. Finish: When done, slide the switch to OFF and turn off the water at the spigot. Relieve the water pressure by moving the switch back to ON until the water slows to a drip, then move it back to OFF and disconnect from the hose.
Save your applicator! It's designed to be reused with refill bottles to reduce plastic waste. Clean the applicator by filling the emptied bottle with water, reattaching the applicator, and spraying over the treatment area until empty. Remove and store the applicator in a clean, dry space until next use.
Hold off on cutting your grass for 1 to 2 days after application.
If your lawn needs watering, water thoroughly 24 hours before applying.
To ensure the weed-killing power works, do not water your lawn for 48 hours after application so it doesn't wash off.
Kids & Pets: Keep people and pets out of the treated area during application. They can safely re-enter the yard once the spray has completely dried.
Wash Up: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling the product and before eating or drinking.
Safe Storage: Store the product in its original container in a cool area that is inaccessible to children and protected from freezing.
If there's still liquid weed and feed left in the bottle, just switch the applicator to "OFF" and store in a cool place away from heat, sunlight, and open flame.
This one isn't for new grass, and may damage delicate baby grass in the fight against weeds. You can start using Scotts Turf Builder Liquid Lawn Food Plus Weed Control after your new grass after you've mowed 3 times. Also, don't plant, reseed, or lay sod for 3-4 weeks after using liquid lawn fertilizer with weed control. For new grass, we recommend Scotts Turf Builder Starter Liquid Lawn Food.
Weeds will begin to curl within a few of days. Some hard-to-control weeds may require a repeat application in 3-4 weeks.
For most people, the best time to apply is spring or fall. That's because weeds need to be actively growing, but don't apply when temperatures exceed 85°F. Wait until your grass is greened up in spring, and apply before your grass goes into dormancy if you're applying in fall. You can make up to 2 applications of liquid weed and feed every year.
Rain and watering can wash away the weed killer in this formula, meaning your work goes to waste. Do NOT water after application for 48 hours, and do NOT apply if rain is expected on the same day.
