Give it a day to work its magic. Hold off on watering for at least 24 hours after you apply. You want to let the product stick to the weeds, not get washed away. Also, check the forecast—it's best to apply when there's no rain expected the next day.
Got some product left? No problem. Just keep it in the original bag and store it in a dry spot, like a garage or shed, where it's out of reach of kids and pets. You'll be all set for the next application.
It's all about the temperature. The sweet spot for applying is when daytime temps are consistently between 60°F and 90°F and weeds are actively growing. For most of us, April is prime time. November might be pushing it, but it really depends on where you live. Your local weather forecast is your best guide.
You bet. It's a case of "too much of a good thing." Overdoing it can burn your lawn, leaving yellow or brown streaks. But don't worry! Just follow the spreader settings and directions on the bag, and you'll be golden. No guesswork needed.
Think of it this way: both are great for your lawn's health, but they have different jobs. Regular lawn food is like a daily vitamin for your grass. Weed & Feed is like that vitamin, plus a bodyguard. If you're fighting off weeds, Weed & Feed is the way to go. If your lawn is weed-free and you just want to feed it, stick with Lawn Food.
