The mulch absorbs 6x its weight in water and expands to surround the seed in a moist protective layer. This grass repair product also has fertilizer with exclusive controlled release technology that feeds to promote growth and establishment of St. Augustinegrass. Use this ready-to-use mix to establish new plug plants or repair bare areas of your lawn. Apply in three easy steps. First, prep your area by removing dead grass and loosening hard soil. Apply mix evenly so the ground is covered and no bare ground is visible. Last, gently water until mix is completely saturated. This lawn care product does not contain grass seed. One 3.75 lb. container of Scotts® EZ Patch™ Lawn Repair for St. Augustine Lawns covers up to 85 sq. ft. of lawn. *Results 15 days after application vs. untreated control, results may vary.

Folks, St. Augustine does not seed.
Great product to help your grass plugs grow quicker.
For those expecting St. Augustine to have "seeds", you will be disappointed to find that St Augustine grass does not seed. Rather it spreads out in all directions. This product stimulates growth.

My yard looks great now
I had the gas company dig up my front yard and I used this product on the grass they threw out there to cover the hole and it made it green up in no time and had new grass growing in fast. The grass was brown in the area and now it's green and looking great after a few weeks

Fantastic results! From bare ground to lush lawn in no time!
I filled in a low spot at the bottom of an incline in my lawn, covering the existing lawn in 4-5 inches of soil in an area at least 10 squares feet. I put Scotts EZ Patch over the area and bam! In no time I had a rich green St. Augustine growing right out into the existing lawn and looking great! It continues now weeks later, staying green and healthy with less water then the pre-existing lawn, yet growing no faster or taller, just greener and thicker! Great product!
