This grass repair product also has fertilizer with exclusive controlled release technology that feeds to promote growth and establishment of St. Augustinegrass. Use this ready-to-use mix to establish new plug plants or repair bare areas of your lawn. Apply in three easy steps. First, prep your area by removing dead grass and loosening hard soil. Apply mix evenly so the ground is covered and no bare ground is visible. Last, gently water until mix is completely saturated. This lawn care product does not contain grass seed. It works
Easy to spread. Top layer swells when wet lightly to keep seeds in place. Only takes a few days for the seeds to spout. Best spot fixer on the market.

EZ Patch for a Healthy Florida Lawn!
I’ve been researching Scott’s EZ Patch Lawn Repair for awhile now. Our Central Florida lawn experienced substantial damage due to chinch bugs in the summer of 2025, and though we had to resod basically our entire front lawn, we still had some sparse areas that were further damaged by a hard freeze in the winter. EZ Patch to the rescue! I’m by no means a lawn care expert and this product was simple to use. You just spread it on the areas of concern and water it! I did not notice a strong odor and the container is big enough to use in several smaller areas.
Keep in mind that for St Augustine grass replacement, you need actual sod. I read the reviews for EZ patch products for other grass varieties and some of them contain seed. This does NOT, but it does a great job of fertilizing and supporting the lawn so that the St. Augustine “stalks” can reach out into the damaged areas. Definitely check this out if you need to repair small areas of your subtropical lawn!

Solid option for small repair spots.
Easy to spread and water in. Started seeing some new growth after about two weeks. Doesn’t contain seed, so it works by helping the existing grass fill in rather than growing new grass from scratch. Solid option for small repair spots.

Effective and Useful
Never knew that there was a St Augustine repair as easy as this since I always thought you need to replace the patch with a new fresh grass. I was glad since this was easy to use, just sprinkle and water a little more than usual and it grows. It did time to match my original grass but it is now striving and I am happy with it and still have a ton left to use.

This product truly worked so well. The cold snaps in Florida can be harsh on the grass, and this immediately repaired the areas that were affected. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is looking to have a lush lawn.

Great for patching your Saint Augustine Lawn
Great for filling spots that have been dry out or just when your grass needs growth support. It repairs patches and kills weed. Definitely a product that you need for your garden.
