Step By Step Instructions
- PREP - Simply prepare the area you want to grow grass. Remove dead grass and loosen hard soil to help tiny seedlings root.
- APPLY - Evenly apply EZ Seed® so the area is mostly covered, but bare ground is still visible so that seed contacts the soil. The mulch will expand 4X upon watering to help cover the seed and keep it moist (Use half as much for thin areas). Only apply the recommended amount so that seedlings have enough space to access water and nutrients.
- WATER - A deep and thorough initial watering is the key to success. Gently water the area until EZ Seed® is completely saturated and no more water is being absorbed (may take several minutes). Avoid pooling water. When EZ Seed® begins to turn light brown, it's time to water again. Continue to water daily as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall.

Super Easy
This grass seed was easy to use after loosening up the soil. I spread the seed on the ground watered and it was good to go. Scott’s is always known for its reliability and the plastic container jug made it super easy to use.

New growth
I wasn’t sure how well it would work but it filled in my bare spots pretty good! The new growth came in better than I really was expecting it to. I can see growth already and it’s only been a month.

It works!
We used this seed in an area in our backyard that doesn’t grow any grass. The difference between these two pictures is 2 weeks! We are starting to see grass! We followed the easy instructions, and have had a ton of rain, which has helped with the watering. I’m excited to see what it will look like in the next few weeks!

simple and straightforward
I recently used Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair for a few bare spots on my lawn, and I was very impressed with the results. With consistent watering, the seeds germinated quickly, and the built-in mulch retained moisture effectively. Grass is greener on Scott’s side!
I I recently tried Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair to fix some bare spots in my yard, and I was overall happy with how it worked. The product was very convenient because it combines seed, mulch, and fertilizer in one bag, which made application simple. After keeping the patches watered consistently, I noticed new grass starting to sprout within about two weeks. This is Florida grass!
It performed best in smaller patchy areas and on spots that had been worn down by foot traffic. I appreciated that the mulch helped maintain moisture around the seeds, even on warmer days, and the mix stayed in place pretty well after light rain.
Overall, I would recommend Scotts EZ Seed for quick lawn touch-ups and small repairs. It’s beginner-friendly and delivers good results when used according to the instructions.

Can’t wait to see the results
Our grass is pretty much non existent half the yard consists of weeds or just dirt. Although we haven’t seen much of a difference as we just tried it (and it takes time) we are excited to see the outcome. I’ve heard good things from other who have tried it!

Easy application for quick spot repair
I've used several different Scott's seed products but this Scott's EZ Seed Patch and Repair Zoysia Grass product is by far my favorite. Not only is it very easy to apply but it's also mixed with shredded mulch for water retention to help keep the seeds moist between watering. I'm supposed to wait until the grass has grown to about 2" before mowing on that spot again. It shouldn't be long before the sunlight has these hardy seeds growing fast and filling in the bare spots in my lawn. I highly recommend this product
