Where to Use: Perfect for sunny areas that don't get a lot of foot traffic.

How to Use: Use it to plant a new Dichondra yard or to overseed an existing one.

When to Use: Plant in late spring or early summer, when the daily air temperature is consistently above 70°F.

How Often to Use: Just once is all it takes to get things going.

For Planting a New Yard:

1. GET READY: Loosen the top 2 inches of soil to create a welcoming bed for your new seed.
2. APPLY: Set your spreader to the "New Green Space" setting. Apply the seed mix evenly across the prepared soil.
3. RAKE (GENTLY): Lightly rake to mix the seed into the top layer of soil. Just enough so it's making good contact.
4. WATER: This part's crucial. Water every day (or as needed) for the first 3 weeks to keep the soil surface consistently moist while the seeds get to work.

For Overseeding Your Existing Yard:

1. GET READY: Mow your grass on a low setting. Rake the area to loosen up the soil and clear out any dead grass or debris. This helps the new seeds get nice and cozy with the soil.
2. APPLY: Grab your spreader and set it to the "Overseeding" setting. Walk your yard and apply the seed mix evenly.
3. RAKE (GENTLY): Lightly rake the seed into the soil. You're just aiming for good seed-to-soil contact, not burying it alive.
4. WATER: Keep the soil surface consistently moist by watering daily (or as needed) for the first 3 weeks. Think damp, not drenched.

For the first three weeks, think of yourself as the yard's personal hydration coach. A light watering once or twice a day is way better than one deep soak. The goal is to keep the top layer of soil damp so the new seeds can get to work. Once the grass is established, you can switch to a less frequent, deeper watering schedule.

• Patience is a Virtue: You should start to see some action in about 7 to 14 days, but it takes time to build an awesome yard.
• The First Haircut: Don't mow until the new grass is at least 2 inches tall. When you do, only trim the top third of the grass blades to keep it healthy and strong.

• Ready for Play (Eventually): The good news is this product is safe for use around people and pets. Just use it as directed—that means don't eat it, drink it, or rub it in your eyes... you get the point. However, your new seedlings are delicate! While it’s safe for you and your family to be on the yard, heavy traffic can crush seedlings before they can take root. Please tread lightly until the seedlings are established.
• Gear Up: Even though we use only the good stuff, it's always smart to use common sense. We recommend wearing gloves and closed-toe shoes. Save the flip-flops for when you're admiring your handiwork.
• Wash Up: Make sure to wash your hands after you're done. It's a good rule of thumb for any yard work.
