DESCRIPTION
Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair Bermudagrass is a revolutionary seeding product designed to grow in tough conditions! The unique combination of Scotts® high performance seed, premium continuous release lawn food, and super-absorbent growing material, make it possible for grass to grow in tough conditions, guaranteed!* Plus, Scotts® EZ Seed® now has a tackifier to reduce seed wash-away on sloped areas of your lawn. *Subject to proper care.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
How to Use
1. PREP - Simply prepare the area you want to grow grass. Remove dead grass and loosen hard soil to help tiny seedlings root.
2. APPLY - Evenly apply EZ Seed® so the area is mostly covered, but bare ground is still visible so that seed contacts the soil. The mulch will expand 4X upon watering to help cover the seed and keep it moist (Use half as much for thin areas). Only apply the recommended amount so that seedlings have enough space to access water and nutrients.
3. WATER - A deep and thorough initial watering is the key to success. Gently water the area until EZ Seed® is completely saturated and no more water is being absorbed (may take several minutes). Avoid pooling water. When EZ Seed® begins to turn light brown, it's time to water again. Continue to water daily as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall.

When to Apply
- Spring and early summer are the best times to plant EZ Seed® because the seed germinates best when daytime temperatures are between 70 degrees F and 90 degrees F and all danger of frost has passed.

Convenient and Easy to use
Worked great for filling some bare spots on my lawn. Super easy to use as well! I started seeing new growth with consistent watering, there isn’t too much guesswork so it’s extremely convenient. Will absolutely be using again!

Very good product and quick result
I recently tried Scotts EZ Patch for Bermuda grass, and overall, I’m very satisfied with the results. The product comes as a combination of mulch, seed, and fertilizer, making it a convenient all-in-one solution for repairing bare spots in my lawn.
The application was straightforward. I prepped the area by raking the soil, spread the mixture evenly over the patch, and watered thoroughly. Within a week, I noticed some germination, and by the second week, the green shoots started to fill in. After about a month, the patched areas blended well with the surrounding lawn.
Some tips: keeping the patch consistently moist is crucial for the first two weeks, and it works best in warm weather for Bermuda grass. I also appreciated that the seed didn’t wash away easily after rain, thanks to the mulch component.

Works well!
Easy to use with simple instructions, the product doesn't smell terrible like some other products I've tried, and it seems to be working quite well regarding growth! Its nice and dense and very easy to maintain.

Better than sod
This seed is easy to spread, easy and clean to store, and grows quickly. I have always just laid sod when it was time to fix the yard, but this EZ Seed is a true game changer and so much more affordable.

Very Useful
The container is lightweight and easy to store. The lid has a flip top to sprinkle seed. There were very specific instructions on how to get the seeds started and what not to sow near. I like that it is the seeds, fertilizer and mulch in one container. We had a sewer line replaced and this was perfect for the bare patch in our yard.

Looks & works great!
This works great, I had a small area and a larger area that needed patching. The small area was really easy to apply this using the shaker and the larger area I used Scotts turf builder spreader to apply. The mulch helps to keep the seeds weighed down and keeps birds from trying to eat them. It makes it look nicer in the area that’s being replenished.

Good for Texas heat
I will post a photo once grass gets bigger so you can compare how bare my ground was vs now.
So far no weed problems. The product itself came in a super nice to hold bottle. It was super easy to use. Bernuda grass does need more watering at the start bit seems to thrive in TX heat.
