DESCRIPTION
Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair Southern Gold® Blend for Tall Fescue Lawns is a revolutionary grass seeding product Bred In The South For The South!® designed to fill in bare spots on your lawn. This product grows in tough conditions, including full sun, dense shade, high traffic areas, and on slopes. It consists of high performance grass seed, continuous release lawn food, and super-absorbent growing mulch material. Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair Southern Gold® Blend for Tall Fescue Lawns also includes a tackifier to help reduce seed wash-away and a protectant to help keep seedlings safe from harmful diseases. There are three easy steps to success: 1) prep the area by removing dead grass and loosening hard soil, 2) evenly apply EZ Seed® so the area is mostly covered but bare ground is still visible, and 3) saturate with water until no more water is being absorbed and mulch turns dark brown. Plant seed in the spring or fall when daily average soil temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 75°F, or air temperatures between 65°F and 85°F. For best results, keep kids, pets, and lawn mowers off newly planted seedlings until the grass is 3 inches high.
HOW TO USE
Prepare the area you want to grow grass by removing dead grass and loosening hard soil to help tiny seedlings root. Apply Evenly apply EZ Seed® so the area is mostly covered, but bare ground is still visible so that seed contacts the soil. The mulch will expand 4x upon watering to help cover the seed and keep it moist. (Use half as much for thin areas). Only apply the recommended amount so that seedlings have enough space to access water and nutrients. The seed germinates best when daytime temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F. Water A deep and thorough initial watering is the key to success. Gently water the area until EZ Seed® is completely saturated and no more water is being absorbed (this may take several minutes). Avoid pooling water. When EZ Seed® begins to turn light brown, it's time to water again. Keep kids, pets, and lawn mowers off newly planted seedlings until the grass is 3 inches high.

Great for filling in Bermuda bare spots!!
Started to work after just a few days! The Bermuda started popping up quickly and it looks sooo much better. Even the container is user friendly fly making it easy to pour the seed.

Quality grass and patch repair made easy. This Scott easy seed sun and shade mix is simple as sprinkling it down and waiting for it to grow. I’m using it to repair a section of grass behind my shed that was destroyed over the winter. It’s simple to use and looks nice when it grows in.

Helped bring my backyard back to life! 🌱
We shared a backyard with a friend who lived on the other side of our duplex, and it had holes and patches everywhere from their dogs. This spring my husband was able to use this to help get grass growing in certain spots. I don’t have a before but trust me when I say this helped make a huge difference. Good value and we’ll be buying more of this when we do some more work eventually. For packaging — it is in a regular bag, but we had it for awhile before we could use it, and it stored well.

Easy to use !
I received Scott’s EZ Seed Patch and Repair Southern Gold Blend free from Influenster in exchange for this review. I planted my seeds about 2 weeks ago in July on 100 degree day. It has been over 100 degrees every day since and not one day has it rained. I would very much have liked to wait until it rained to write this review but my review is due. So as for ease of use this seed was very easy to use. I basically just scattered it out My backyard is completely bare. I can see the little seeds in my backyard and have no doubt that after the first rain they will sprout While I have watered my seeds it’s just not enough for what a good rain will do considering it’s been over 100 every day since I planted. So I have had a few seeds sprout here and there but I do feel when it rains they will take off

Scots EZ Seed Patch & Repair Southern Gold Blend for Tall Fescue Lawns is a yard reviver! I recently planted some in my yard. The constant heat and inconsistent rains have done a job on my lawn. The Patch and Repair has brought my lawn back to life.
