When to Use: The sweet spot for applying is in the spring or fall, when daytime temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 80°F.
How Often to Use: Use as needed to patch any bare or thin spots that pop up.
That first deep watering is super important. After that, the mulch does the work for you. When it's dark brown, you're all good. Once it starts to turn light brown, you know it's thirsty and time for another light sprinkle. It really takes the guesswork out of watering.
Got some left over? No problem. Just keep it in the bag and pop it in a cool, dry place like your garage or a shed, safely away from kids and pets.
It’s simple. The mulch is dark brown when it’s properly moist. When it starts to turn light brown, that’s your signal that the seeds are thirsty and it’s time to water again.
You'll see the first seedlings pop up in about 5-7 days, and with proper care, you'll have a nice patch of grass in a few weeks. Just remember 3 inches tall before you mow it.
