Scotts® PatchMaster® Lawn Repair Mix Tall Fescue Mix comes pre-mixed to make repairing bare spots easy! This product contains a mixture of premium Tall Fescue seed to blend with your existing lawn, 100% recycled mulch to help keep seeds moist and in place, and fertilizer for fast growth and thick results. In fact, this mix starts to grow in as few as 7 days, feeds up to 6 weeks, and absorbs 3x its weight in water! Apply in the fall or spring when daytime temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F. Evenly spread a thin layer of PatchMaster® Lawn Repair Mix so the area is completely covered. A deep and thorough initial watering is the key to success. Gently water the area until PatchMaster® is completely saturated and no more water is being absorbed. Continue to water daily or more as needed to keep the soil moist. One 4.75 lb. bag of Scotts® PatchMaster® Lawn Repair Mix Tall Fescue Mix has a bare spot coverage of 70 sq. ft. and a thin grass coverage of 140 sq. ft.

How to Use

1. Prep - Remove dead grass if necessary and loosen the top 2 inches of soil.
2. Apply - First, shake the bag to mix the contents. Next, evenly spread a thin layer of PatchMaster® Lawn Repair Mix so the area is completely covered.
3. Water - A deep and thorough initial watering is the key to success. Gently water the area until PatchMaster® Lawn Repair Mix is completely saturated and no more water is being absorbed (this may take several minutes). Avoid pooling water or run-off. Continue to water daily or more as needed to keep the soil moist.

Where to Use

• This product is designed to repair bare or thin spots in your lawn.

Where Not to Use

• Do not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches.
• Do not apply if heavy rain is expected.
• Apply this product only to your lawn and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk or street, back onto your lawn.

When to Apply

• Fall and Spring are the best times to use PatchMaster Lawn Repair Mix.
• Seed germinates best anytime temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F and all danger of frost has passed.

Watering Tips

• Water daily to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall.

Using with Other Products

• Do not apply weed control products until the grass is well established (mowed at least 4 times).
• Additionally, if you recently used a weed control product, refer to those product instructions to determine how soon you can plant grass seed.
