2026 Corporate Responsibility Report

Announcing our 2026 Corporate Responsibility Report and GroForward 2030 Goals

This year, our Corporate Responsibility Report gives our retail partners, consumers and stakeholders a more streamlined narrative while delivering a dedicated, data-rich disclosure.

A Fresh Look: Our New Reporting Approach

Based on stakeholder feedback, we have reimagined how we communicate our sustainability progress. Our streamlined format feeds two distinct reporting streams for our FY25 sustainability disclosures.

  • The 2026 Corporate Responsibility Report: An on-brand, consumer- and customer-facing narrative highlighting our biggest strategic priorities and key brand celebrations.
  • The 2026 Corporate Responsibility Disclosures: A standalone technical companion detailing robust, framework-aligned data geared toward ESG Raters & Rankers and Investors.

The Road Ahead: GroForward 2030

As we closed our previous 2020–2025 goal cycle, we reflected on our learnings, evaluated our data infrastructure and mapped our future commitments. The result is our new GroForward 2030 Strategy, centering on three interconnected principles with clear, measurable targets:

Products you can count on

  • Designing for Sustainability: 100% of new products introduced will align with at least one defined sustainability criterion mapped directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 3, 12 and 15).
  • Consumer Experience: We will increase the percentage of the active ScottsMiracle-Gro product catalog with an average consumer star rating of 4.0 or higher by 25% from our FY25 baseline

2. Practices You Can Be Proud Of

  • Climate and Energy Efficiency: We have committed to reducing our total absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 20% by FY30 from an FY24 baseline.
  • Environmental Stewardship: We are driving a 10% reduction in purchased water intensity across all operated facilities against an FY24 baseline to build operational resource efficiency.

3. People You Grow With

  • Supporting Communities: We are aiming to achieve a 50% associate participation rate in our signature Give Back to Gro volunteer time off program.
  • Biodiversity Investment: We will support the protection, management or restoration of at least 3,000 acres of natural habitat through biodiversity-related grants and partnerships.
  • Community Impact: We will invest a total of $10 million to improve the communities where we live, work, and play through strategic partnerships and charitable contributions.
