When it comes to raw materials, 90 percent of the cost of our goods is sourced in the domestic U.S. And when possible, we use local resources. It supports local economies, ensures product traceability and reduces environmental impacts from transportation.
Going local
With a network of over 30 plants, we can make most of our mulch and soil products within an average of 150 miles of where they are sold. This helps us cut down on transportation costs and fuel use.
Ethical ingredients: Peat moss
We source peat moss in a sustainable way, relying on a process and partners that are third-party certified to help ensure the ethical harvesting and restoring of this vital resource. We also partner with indigenous communities to ensure our work is done with respect for the land and cultural preservation.
