How to Plant Your AeroGarden Seed Pod Kit in 3 Easy Steps

Step 1: Add Water

Fill your AeroGarden with cool water up to the indicator line. Most tap water works just fine—no special prep needed.

Step 2: Add Plant Food

Check the Plant Food bottle for feeding instructions based on how many pod holes your AeroGarden has, then add it in. This is what fuels your plants from seed to harvest, so it’s important to right.

Step 3: Drop In Your Pre-Seeded Pods

Place your pre-seeded pods into the grow deck, label-side up. That’s it—no extra pieces, just drop them in and let your AeroGarden do the rest.

Leave the pod labels on. They help identify what’s growing and inhibit algae; no need to remove them.
Have empty pod holes? Cover them with Plant Spacers to keep algae from creeping in.

No—and it’s for a good reason. We’ve cut back on single-use plastic, and our own testing showed the domes weren’t actually giving seeds a germination boost. How much water do I add to my AeroGarden?
