The naturally derived organic fertilizer provides both quick and long-lasting nutrition, plus the unique blend of alfalfa meal, kelp meal, earthworm castings, and bone meal help your plants build strong roots. This soil is locally crafted (on average, less than 150 miles from where it's sold, excluding AK & HI) and regionally formulated. The soil contains upcycled green waste to help reduce the use of sphagnum peat moss, so you can grow a bigger, more bountiful harvest (vs. unfed plants) with a lighter footprint.

When to Use: Use whenever you're starting a new raised bed garden or refreshing an existing one for the season.

How Often to Use: For the happiest plants, we recommend starting with fresh soil at the beginning of each growing season.

Formulated for: All outdoor plants growing in raised beds including fruits and vegetables (like tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, strawberries), flowers and herb (such as basil, rosemary, cilantro, parsley, and thyme)

1. Fill it Up: Simply pour the soil directly into your raised garden bed.
2. Plant Your Favorites: Dig a hole and plant your seeds or young plants.
3. Water Them In: Give your new plants a good watering to help them settle into their new home.
4. Add Some Mulch (Optional): Applying a layer of mulch on top can help the soil retain moisture.

Raised beds can dry out a little faster than in-ground gardens, so it's a good idea to check the soil every day or two. Just stick your finger about an inch into the soil—if it feels dry, it's time to give your plants a drink.

• Keep 'Em Fed: Your plants will get hungry as they grow. For even more impressive results, start a regular feeding routine with Miracle-Gro Organic Plant Food about a month after planting.
• Give Them a Little Room: When you're planting, be sure to check the plant tags for spacing information. Giving your plants enough room to grow will lead to a healthier, more productive garden.

• A Good Habit: We always recommend wearing gardening gloves when handling soil, and washing hands when you're done.
