There's nothing quite like a porch or patio full of beautiful, thriving plants in containers. Miracle-Gro Organic Outdoor Potting Mix is the perfect way to make that happen. We've created an OMRI-Listed soil formulated specifically for the unique needs of outdoor potted plants. It's blended with responsibly sourced peat from Veriflora-certified, sustainably managed peatlands, upcycled green waste, and naturally derived nutrients. This organic container soil is locally crafted (on average less than 150 miles of where it's sold, excluding AK and HI) and regionally formulated. It contains a mix of quick- and slow-release natural fertilizers to give your plants a great start and keep them fed for up to two months. Where to Use: This organic soil is specifically formulated for outdoor container plants.

When to Use: Use this organic container mix whenever you're potting a new outdoor plant or repotting an existing one.

How Often to Use: For the happiest plants, we recommend repotting with fresh soil every 1-2 years.

Formulated for: All outdoor container-grown plants including you favorite vegetables and fruits (such as tomatoes, peppers, and strawberries), flowers, and herbs (including basil, oregano, mint, and rosemary)

1. Choose Your Pot: Pick a container that has a drainage hole. This is super important to keep your plant's roots from getting waterlogged.
2. Fill it Up: Fill your pot about 1/3 full with the potting mix.
3. Plant Your Favorite: Gently loosen the root ball of your plant and place it in the pot.
4. Add More Soil: Add more potting mix around your plant, leaving about an inch of space from the rim of the pot.
5. Water and Enjoy: Give your plant a good watering and let it drain. Now you can place it in its sunny new home and watch the magic happen!

Outdoor containers can dry out quickly, especially on hot, sunny days. It's a good idea to check the soil daily. Just stick your finger an inch or so into the soil—if it feels dry, it's time for a good drink.

• Time to Repot: To keep your long-term container plants happy, we recommend repotting them with fresh potting mix every year or two. This gives them fresh nutrients and helps prevent the soil from getting compacted.
• Keep Them Fed: After about two months, your plants will be ready for a meal. Start a regular feeding routine with a Miracle-Gro Organic Plant Food to keep them growing strong.
