This is a complete product line made of natural and organic ingredients and it became possible because of two unique technology platforms: next-generation nutrition and compost. To "crack the organic code" and achieve that balance of high performance with an organic formulation, it took a lot of work, including:
- Performing 200+ analytical tests
- Growing more than 43,000 tomatoes
- Examining 43+ uniquely different raw materials
- Creating 42 patent claims
- “Fingerprinting” 200 compost blends
This was a true team effort. Our R&D team spent more than three years of research and testing. Our Supply Chain organization reinvented how they create a consistent blend of compost region to region. Attorneys in our legal department developed new processes to ensure consistent organic materials and products. And our Regulatory group secured government approval wherever it was necessary.
The result is a product that delivers the same trusted results that have become synonymous with original Miracle-Gro®. Our new Performance Organics™ products are also OMRI-listed by the influential Organic Materials Review Institute.
