Our purpose is to GroMoreGood in the world. When we start the process of developing our 2024 Corporate Responsibility Report, the people, the numbers and the highlights come together to exemplify what it really means to GroMoreGood both today and tomorrow.
Our purpose stands upon four main components:
- Cultivating communities – By supporting the creation of gardens and green spaces that transform neighborhoods, get kids outdoors and bring people together. And by developing programs that help kids from underserved communities understand and meet their full potential to become the leaders of tomorrow.
- Putting associates first – Helping associates grow professionally and achieve their personal best. Giving them paid time off to volunteer in the community. And by taking a holistic approach to wellness and safety in order to support a LiveTotal Health mindset.
- Innovating for the future – By providing consumers the products, knowledge and support that allow them to express themselves on their own piece of the Earth. By celebrating their accomplishments and allowing their stories to shine as living examples of the true power of gardens and green spaces.
- Supporting the environment through partners and product development – By designing our products to work in concert with the environment and supporting the work of our environmental partners, both of which will help provide for a sustainable future and inspire a new generation of associates and gardeners to GroMoreGood in ways that are good for the Earth.
Through all of the details and examples in this report, our CEO Jim Hagedorn summed it up best:
“Here’s my view of what we can all take away from this report: We’re doing more than providing people with resources to create thriving gardens and green spaces. Lawns, gardens and living things bring environmental benefits, too, in the form of carbon sequestration, water capture and reduction of heat islands. In a world facing climate change, we’re uniquely positioned to make a positive impact.”
We’re proud of the progress we’ve made in the last year. See some of the highlights of the 2024 Corporate Responsibility report below, and access the entire report.
