Gro More Good resources

What are Gro More Good learning activities?

Now more than ever, children and families need the positive experience of gardening. As schools remain closed nationwide due to COVID-19, there is also a strong need for additional home-learning resources for parents, teachers and school districts.

Sponsored by The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation, Gro More Good Learning Activities is a series of 72 free lessons designed to provide children, up to grade 3, with meaningful educational experiences in the garden and the outdoors. Each lesson is hands-on and perfect for getting kids outside in their own yard, where they can stay healthy while still exploring and learning in nature.

The activities were created by early childhood professionals at the Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center, the renowned early childhood school located at the Smithsonian Museums in Washington, DC. The lessons are based on early childhood education best practices and support a child’s learning of basic educational and STEAM concepts, such as math, science, art, technology, reading and writing.
