What does it mean to be open to opportunities on ScottsMiracle-Gro’s marketing team?
To hear the journey of the marketing department’s reigning Rookie of the Year, being open to opportunities at Scotts means quite a few things.
Starting at a company during a pandemic is not the easiest way to launch a marketing career. Andrew found a way to make the transition a bit smoother by keeping an open mind and getting involved where he could.
From joining the Scotts Young Professionals board, to attending several SMG volunteer events, and collaborating with HR on recruiting, Andrew has found there are more than a few ways to network and meet new people throughout the company.
He’s already helped to deliver sales for the Ortho and AeroGarden brands, and he is working on a couple of really innovative growth opportunities for the indoor growing category.
Andrew’s first year has been unique through all of the connections he’s made. But what’s not unique is that new associates often find different ways to grow at the company. It’s part of the entrepreneurial spirit in the DNA of ScottsMiracle-Gro. You just have to be open to it.
