Seed Pod Kits

A seed pod is a self-contained growing unit designed for AeroGarden indoor garden systems. Each pod consists of a plastic grow basket, a pre-moistened grow sponge, and, in the pre-seeded kits, seeds already added and ready to sprout. No soil, no digging, no mess.

A complete seed pod kit includes everything you need: pre-seeded pods (or empty pods for Grow Anything kits), plant labels, and a bottle of liquid plant food. Drop them in, fill your garden with water, and the AeroGarden unit handles the rest.

1. Nail the nutrients from day one. Fill to the water line, add the recommended amount of liquid plant food, and insert pods. Getting the nutrient balance right at the start means faster germination and stronger plants.
2. Prune early, harvest often. For bushy, productive herbs, snip from the top down and remove flower buds the moment they appear. Regular harvesting encourages new growth and extends the productive life of each pod.

If two seedlings sprout from one pod, snip the weaker one at the base; don't pull, it disturbs the roots of the plant you want to keep. Leave one or two spots open in your garden system for larger plants like tomatoes to give them room to spread.

• Seeds not sprouting? Check that the water level is at the fill line. Be patient; some seeds, like tomatoes and thyme, can take up to three weeks to germinate.
• White fuzz on your grow sponges? This is typically mold from excess moisture. It won’t harm impact seed germination or harm your plant in any way. It should go away once your plant grows above the label and shades the grow sponge.
• Green algae? Cover any exposed spots of the grow deck with plant spacers to block light from reaching the water reservoir.
• Slow growth? Check your nutrient dosage and confirm the AeroGarden light is cycling on and off correctly.
