Q: Why did ScottsMiracle-Gro start a Foundation?
A: As ScottsMiracle-Gro approaches its 150th anniversary in 2018, our CEO and Chairman Jim Hagedorn wanted to create a lasting legacy for generations to come. The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation was established as a way to focus our support in addressing environmental and social issues that impact our world.

A: The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation focuses its support in three areas where it can make the most impact for social change:
- Community Enhancement – bringing gardens and greenspaces to areas that need them the most
- Environmental Improvement – protecting our environment’s resources and educating people how to be good stewards of our planet
- Youth Empowerment – helping students realize their potential through an education
